Enlighten us to your younger years.
Shannon Marie Codner: I was a tomboy. I never wore dresses or skirts. Since I was a late bloomer I never dated really. In high school I was an art nerd and a bookworm and liked to just chill by myself. I also enrolled in college while I was still in high school, so that and working 2 jobs filled what time I ever would of had for a social life. I met my senior prom date through a ‘friend’ 20 minutes before prom because I didn’t have a date… and I later found out that he was married with kids!

The irony of that is the guy’s grandmother still has our prom picture hanging in her home! I wouldn’t trade all that ‘character building experience’ for anything in the world though. It’s what makes me appreciate everything that I am and everything that I have today.
How did you get into modeling?
I got into modeling on a whim. My passion is acting, but I knew that modeling would be a stepping stone to get my name and face out there. I was a senior in high school when I landed my first bikini modeling job. I knew I’d be in the entertainment industry since I was a little country girl living out in the sticks.
