Courtney Friel hosted the 2006 WSOP Circuit Event at Caesars Palace on Friday April 26, 2006. Minh Ly take home a cool $1,060,000 for first place along with a seat in the WPT Texas Holdem Championships next April at the Bellagio. Dan Harrington won $620,730 for second place.
Courtney Friel (born April 22, 1980) is an American entertainment reporter for the Fox News Channel. Currently, she contributes to a number of different entertainment related programs for the network’s website, FoxNews.com. Friel is an infrequent guest contributor on the Fox News show Red Eye w/ Greg Gutfeld, where she is most well known for her “Ab News” segments which feature her working out her abdominal muscles while Greg Gutfeld reads the news.

Friel was a sports anchor and entertainment reporter for GoTV Mobile Television, as well as the hostess for the World Poker Tour on the Travel Channel. She was also the host of GameStop/EBGames “EB TV” which boasted of recently released and upcoming video games. Before that, she was the co-anchor of Court TV’s The Saturday Night Solution.
Friel has also worked as a field reporter for various networks including: E! Entertainment, Oxygen Channel and Comcast Cable, the World Poker Tour, as well as the syndicated program, Extra. She also worked as an anchor at ABC affiliate WBBJ-TV in Jackson, Tennessee in 2003. She joined Fox News Channel in February 2007.
