Christian Churches Fire Bombed by Muslims

Bringing the total to six, two more churches fire-bombed in Malaysia.

In the Malaysian capital escalating religious tensions has lead to the Islamic terrorists bombing of Christian churches. Leaders of various faiths have appealed to defuse the situation but to no avail.

A Molotov cocktail was hurled at the All State Church in Taiping in Perak state, while a broken kerosene bottle with an unlit wick was found inside the compound of the St Louis Catholic Church, also in Taiping.
Why are the radicals bombing churches?
Because the Christians bombed them? No.
Because the Christians have been committing suicide bombings? No.
Because the Christians hate the Muslims and vow to kill all the infidels? No.

Simply because of a high court ruling that the Catholic newsletter Herald could use the word “Allah” while referring to God in its Bahasa Malaysia edition.

All assailants remain unidentified.

Rev Dr Thomas Philips of the Malaysian Consultative Council of Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism and Taoism, an interfaith organisation feels that opening communication lines among the various communities could provide a lasting solution to the current issue.

Only eight per cent of the country’s population of 27 million people are Christians mostly ethnic Chinese and some ethnic Indians.

Mr. Eric Holder
Attorney General of the United States
Washington, DC

Dear Mr. Holder:

We, the editors of HUMAN EVENTS,, and the many Americans who have attached our names to this petition hereby request that you try al-Qaeda’s confessed 9/11 terrorist mastermind, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and his four al-Qaeda cohorts in a military tribunal, reversing your precedent-changing decision to try them in a civilian court in New York City.

There is no reason, much less a requirement, under U.S. Constitutional or statutory law to grant KSM and the others the right to a trial in civilian courts, nor to offer them any of the corresponding Constitutional rights afforded U.S. citizens. Logic, reason, and justice demand that the terrorists who planned the 9/11 attacks be treated as enemy combatants in a war against the United States, not as common civilian criminals.

Our reasons for urging you to reverse your decision include:

Trying these terrorists in a civilian court would be a break with 200+ years of American jurisprudence. From British spies during the War of Independence to Nazi saboteurs caught on U.S. soil during World War II, we have tried those who make war against America in military, not civilian, courts. This change in policy sets a potentially catastrophic precedent. This would not happen with a military tribunal;

The very real possibility exists that if tried in a civilian court, KSM and the others could be acquitted on a technicality, such as their not having been informed of their Miranda rights, or having been denied a speedy trial. This would not happen with a military tribunal;

KSM and the others should not be allowed to hijack our courts, using them as a media circus to promulgate their hate-filled, extremist views. This would not happen with a military tribunal;

A civilian trial would send the dangerous message to our enemies that the United States has reverted to its ineffective, pre-9/11 crime-fighting approach to terrorism. This would not happen with a military tribunal;

In a civilian trial, valuable intelligence about interrogation techniques and other classified information will be revealed to America’s enemies, giving them a huge advantage in successfully carrying out terrorist plots in the future. This would not happen with a military tribunal;

Americans are willing to pay to ensure justice is served. However, the estimated security cost of $200 million for the KSM trial is completely avoidable and a total waste of taxpayer money. This would not happen with a military tribunal; and

While Americans are willing and able to stand up to protect themselves and their property, trying KSM and the others in New York invites a terrorist attack, creating a huge, unnecessary risk to our court workers, jurors, and everyone in the New York City area. This would not happen with a military tribunal;

Our final words are from David Beamer, father of Todd Beamer, one of the heroes of United Flight 93: “Our enemies must be thrilled” he wrote of your decision to give KSM and the others a civilian trial in Manhattan. “We are willingly handing them an opportunity to inflict economic harm on New York City, keep their cause in the headlines, gather new intelligence, create new terror strategies, stimulate recruiting, celebrate new found rights, and foist a fresh round of pain and suffering upon their victims.”

Mr. Holder, as Attorney General of the United States, it was within your power to move the trial of KSM from a military tribunal to a civilian court. It is equally within your power to reverse that dangerous decision. We request that you do so forthwith.

Respectfully submitted,

The Editors of HUMAN EVENTS and

Scott Brown has Closed the Gap in Massachusetts!

Jan 14, 2010  No Comments »  Read More

Just one month ago Scott Brown’s run for the former senate seat Ted Kennedy held in Massachusetts seemed like a long shot.

senator scott brown Scott Brown has Closed the Gap in Massachusetts!

Senator Scott Brown?

But the three recent terrorist attacks, fear that the Democrats haven’t a clue on how to keep bombs off our airlines and the massive government takeover of the health care system in America might be Martha Coakley’s undoing.

Reports have recently surfaced that she has been given a lot of donations (bribes) from health care providers and the pharmaceutical companies nationwide and she intends to be the deciding vote to pass it.

Seeking to capitalize on the extra trillion dollars in tax money its going to take to provide care and drugs to thirty million citizens and illegal immigrants the legislation proposes, these providers are willing to chip in quite a sum of money to insure Barack has the votes to pass it.

Scott Brown has promised to be the deciding vote that stops the bill’s passage.

A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of likely voters in the state finds Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley attracting 49% of the vote while her Republican rival, state Senator Scott Brown, picks up 47%. Three percent (3%) say they’ll vote for independent candidate Joe Kennedy, and two percent (2%) are undecided.

I think a small percentage of voters in Massachusetts that have been checking the Kennedy box on the ballot for a generation will continue their habit and vote for third party candidate Joe Kennedy, even though he is a conservative and not part of the Kennedy family.

This might make up the 2 or 3 points Brown needs to stop the “no health care bill” and keep Uncle Sam from raising your insurance rates another $1700 per year to cover people that came across the Rio Grand for all the freebie’s.
