The procedure was discredited in the eyes of the scientific community, scientific studies conclude that the typed language output attributed to the clients is directed or systematically determined by the facilitators.

More than three years after police in West Bloomfield arrested a man and accused him of raping his autistic daughter, the township’s insurance carrier has agreed to pay his family and attorney $1.8 million to settle a wrongful-arrest suit.

Julian Wendrow served 80 days in jail and faced life in prison; his wife, Thal Wendrow, faced decades behind bars, accused of allowing assaults to happen. Their 14-year-old daughter, who cannot speak, and their son, 13, were in foster care.

The evidence against them? A statement the girl, who functions as a 2-year-old, reportedly typed with the help of a teacher’s aide. The statement claimed her father had raped her since age 7 as her mother stood by. A physical exam showed no evidence of abuse, still they were arrested. Their daughter and her 13-year-old brother were placed in foster care.

Prosecutors dropped the case in March 2008 for lack of evidence, about four months after arresting the parents. Township lawyers deny any police wrongdoing.

The claim came from a method known as facilitated communication, in which the aide helped the girl type on a keyboard.

There was no physical evidence the girl had been assaulted, but the typed message became the key evidence against West Bloomfield residents Julian and Thal Wendrow.

The case dissolved in front of a judge when the girl couldn’t communicate answers to even simple questions, such as the color of her sweater. The aide helped the girl type in court, but hadn’t heard the judge’s questions. The girl’s responses were mostly gibberish. Other courts have long refused to accept testimony provided through facilitated communication.

Detectives interrogated the girl’s 13 year old brother in this case. This is a perfect example of how an interrogator (CPS, detective, social worker, etc.) can convince a child that something has happened to them when in fact it never happened.

Video clip 1 Early in the two-hour interrogation, Detective Brousseau tells the13-year-old that police have uncovered other evidence supporting his autistic sister’s allegations of sexual abuse. The detective never explains what evidence he is referring to.

Video clip 2 Brousseau tells the 13-year-old that the boy’s body language suggests he knows more than he’s saying about his sister’s allegations. Experts who have reviewed the video say the detective may have misinterpreted symptoms of Asperger’s Syndrome, a condition for which the boy was treated for 10 years, as evidence of guilt or evasion.

Video clip 3 The 13-year-old witness says that what Brousseau has told him makes him question his father’s innocence.

Video clip 4 As the boy continues to insist he has never had sexual contact with his father, Brousseau says that police have discovered evidence of sexual contact between the boy and his sister. Prosecutors now concede that there is no such evidence.

Video clip 5 Brousseau returns to the interrogation room after a 10-minute absence to report that crime lab technicians have uncovered new, unspecified evidence that points to the boy’s own involvement in sexual abuse. Prosecutors now concede no such evidence exists.

Video clip 6 Pressed to remember situations when his father and sister have been together, the boy tells Brousseau he has seen his father help his disabled sister shower while his father was naked. A psychologist who treated the girl for many years said she was aware of the father’s actions and not alarmed by them, because the autistic girl frequently became “frozen” and required her parents’ assistance to bathe.

Video clip 7 As the boy continues to deny any knowledge of sexual abuse in his home, Brousseau expresses doubts about his honesty.

Video clip 8 The boy asks to take a lie detector test; Brousseau tells him the father has refused to submit to a polygraph himself. The father’s lawyer says he vetoed the polygraph when he learned his father had volunteered to take the test.

Video clip 9 Brousseau insists the boy has firsthand knowledge of sexual abuse in his parents’ home.

Video clip 10 Brousseau hints that videotapes recovered in a search of the parents’ house depict the boy in sexual situations with family members, and warns that “it’s going to come out.” In fact, no such videos were found. You will hear a tone where the Free Press has removed a name from this clip.

Video clip 11 Convinced by the overwhelming phony evidence, the boy tells Brousseau he no longer sees his father as trustworthy. The detective insists that the father forfeited his son’s trust “a long time ago.”

From an emphatic denial of witnessing any abuse and complete trust and support for his father to a terrified kid in just under two hours with this detective who wants a conviction more than the truth. This child is convinced with repeated lies that his Dad has committed a horrible crime and he no longer trusts him.

This is Detective Brousseau of the West Bloomfield Police Department and believe it or not, there might be more just like him in your community.

But after their split, Murphy snubbed his ex and claimed Angel Iris, now two, couldn’t be his – until a DNA test proved him to be her dad.

And Brown has told the Hollywood star Murphy has no intention of ever meeting the girl.

She also told Britain’s Hello! magazine, “I have full custody of Angel and that’s about it. He Eddie doesn’t see her, doesn’t want to see her. That’s just the way it is. She’s very content. She doesn’t know any different.”

Brown, now married to movie producer Stephen Belafonte, also has another daughter, Phoenix Chi, 10, with ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar.

Another child left with an un-fillable hole in her soul because of a parent that refuses to take responsibility.

How about you call 1-800-who’s your daddy Eddie and put this thing to rest. If your not Melanie should know and if you are God help Angel Iris because she will suffer for it. Children need both parents to grow up to be the person they should be.

Robert G. Lasheff with his daughters

I just received an email with the sad news that Robert G. Lasheff of Illinois has passed away on the evening of July 17th.

Robert was a longstanding and dedicated advocate for Equal Parenting Rights. In his home state of
Illinois, Robert fought the courts for years for access to his daughters often under difficult circumstances while simultaneously working as an organizer for other parents and advocates.

Robert was a member of the Greater Chicago Ron Paul Campaign For Liberty as well as many others fighting for our rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and was an active participant in the fight for fathers and mothers to be activity involved in their children’s lives.

Among his writings was a letter to Alren Spector that I found particulary interesting. Here is the complete text of the letter….

Dear Senator Specter;

We are writing you this letter with a matter that not only concerns us as individuals but a matter we feel is of great National Concern and is currently affecting a very large number of Americans negatively that have committed no crime greater then seeking Justice and Redress in our Courts…….”Power is the great evil with which we are contending. We have divided power between three branches of government and erected checks and balances to prevent abuse of power. However, where is the check on the power of the judiciary? If we fail to check the power of the judiciary, I predict that we will eventually live under judicial tyranny.”

Sir; there is a great deal of pain and suffering here all in the name of Profit.& Power. An extreme measure of Anger, Resentment and Activism is steadily growing toward our Judiciary and the ABA in general and we feel certain that this issue is rapidly becoming one of the greatest single threats to this Nations Security. THEREFORE, it is with the utmost urgency that we request a full Congressional Investigation and Hearing into these matters.

The pair had no connection to the pro-life movement but said they set the building on fire because Baca’s ex-girlfriend was going to have an abortion there the next day. Baca reportedly hoped to stop his ex-girlfriend from aborting his child.

U.S. Attorney Greg Fouratt commented on the crime after the hearing, saying that it “wasn’t a case about religious views. Let’s call them what they were, two knuckleheads who were seeking to deter one woman from getting an abortion of pregnancy that was caused by one of those two men.”

Federal Judge John Conway told the pair. “I don’t know why you did this. This is the dumbest thing you could have done in your life.”

“It was a careless act,” said Baca before sentencing, saying he was sorry that he carried it out.

With all this talk of a womans right to choose, fathers rights are ignored. Even to the point of not having a say in whether his child will be born or aborted. I believe it the ultimate fathers rights issue and the ultimate form of parental alienation.

David Goldman is the father that has been fighting to get his son back from Brazil. David’s son was taken to Brazil on vacation and his Mom never returned with him. She divorced him and remarried.

Sadly, she later died giving birth to her second child with her new husband. So David Goldman’s son comes home right? not so simple. A Braziliancourt refused to honor the father/child relationship and David has now fought for 4 1/2 years to reunite with his beloved son.

That’s where Rep. Christopher Smith comes in. He’s from New Jersey, not David’s district but the case touched his heart and he got involved. He has traveled to Brazil with David Goldman and worked tirelessly to bring Sean Goldman back to his loving father.

David won a Supreme Court case in Brazil on June 10th that ordered Sean to be handed over for the trip home and we are hoping his son will be returned soon.

Rep. Christopher Smith has even sponsored a bill that pertains to this case….

In 10 Easy Steps
This is a plan used time and time again to alienate children from their other parent and completely erase them and their extended family from their lives. I became aware of during my involvement with the Parental Rights Movement.

This can be accomplished if you hire an attorney that’s only concern is the almighty dollar. (It will help if this Attorney plays golf with the Judge) Take the kids to court when you have them on a visit and claim they have been abandoned by a drug addict Mom or Dad that works as a whore and lives on the street.

Do not serve the ex with a subpoena for this court date but have a relative or friend say that they did. This will get you a temporary order of custody, even if you are $65,000 behind on child support.

Now you will have a few weeks alone with the kids because of the over booked family court system. When the ex finally gets you in court, have your Attorney ask for a continuance. This will get you a few more months. (This is even more effective if you have taken the children 2,000 miles away and the ex has to come up with hundreds of dollars to make each court appearance)

(camping, fishing, amusement parks and swimming) Never say anything good about the ex in front of the kids.

Turn the ringer of the phone off.
 

From time to time tell them they can’t participate in school functions because their other parent doesn’t pay their child support. Never let them find out that they pay every month.

By this time it has been a few months. When you go to court again make as many false allegations as you can think of so the court feels that if even 10% of it is true they can’t possibly make a decision today and they will need to evaluate both households thoroughly. This will buy you at least another 6 months to a year.

Keep up a steady beratement on the ex in front of the kids. Having re-married your new spouse can be very helpful at this. Let the children over-hear you and your spouse talk about how evil the other parent is constantly and the financial problems they are causing by not paying the support. Never a nice word. It may be necessary to make up things from the kids early childhood that they would be too young to remember if it was true or not.

If the court has ordered visitation for your ex, get out of town. Plan a family vacation with the kids on the weekend they are supposed to spend with the other parent. Tell the children that their visitation is next weekend. When the next weekend comes get them packed, suitcases at the door waiting. Its not the other parents weekend so you know they are not coming. After the ex is supposedly 3 hours late, take the children out for ice cream or pizza.

If the ex shows up at your home and demands to see the children have your spouse beat them up. When the police come they will most likely decide if they take one to jail they have to take both and decide to tell the ex to leave and go on their way. Convince the children that the current step-parent saved them from the other parent kidnapping them.

Constantly put the other parent down, making up things about how mean the other parent was to them when they were babies and how you have saved them. Leaving on the visitation weekends, telling them the ex is on the way to get them when you they are not scheduled to be there.

Every court date that comes up pay your immoral attorney to get a continuance or find some obscure court rule that keeps him from proceeding. (like the plaintiffs paperwork isn’t printed on recycled paper etc.) There are plenty of things like that in the court rules he can choose from.

Keep telling the kids that their other parent is on the way when you know ther are not and always save the day by taking them to fun places to cheer them up. When accused of denying visitation in court lie and say the ex never showed up. The children can now vouch for this.

Never stop telling the children how much better off they are with you and how much fun they have living in their new home. having never paid child support you should have a nice savings by now to continue the fun weekends, gifts and your lawyers blood money.

By the time the evaluation is completed and a court date is set pay your attorney to ask for yet another continuance.

It will still be a few more weeks until they find that all your accusations were untrue you will have had, in some cases, several years with the kids, saving them from their mean other parent that cares nothing about them and never even tries to see or call them.

They will be thoroughly alienated and they will tell the evaluator, the Judge, and all involved how mean the other parent was to them and will beg to stay with you.

As the court process is ending have your attorney instruct the court that you have been taking the kids to a psychiatrist and he has advised that reunifying the children with the other parent would be too traumatic for the children because they have so much hate in their heart for them.

You have accomplished your goal, you have cut your ex, the children’s other parent, out of their lives. As the children grow you will need more money for further counselling to help the children deal with their violent tendencies, drug abuse, criminal behavior and a string of failed relationships. Save some money to help support the illegitimate grand kids and spend your late nights trying to figure out how your children went so wrong, when you, raised them so right.

Many of you may know that along with being the world’s greatest blogger, , I am a Home Builder. Last year while framing a home for a customer a flier blew out of my truck and across the yard to the feet of the young man I was building the house for.

The flier contained some information on Parental Alienation [PA] and my wife’s non-profit organization, Splitntwo.com, that seeks to insure kids are not denied a relationship with one of their parents.

He asked me about PA and what my wife did with her organization. As I began to describe what PA was and how it happens that sometimes mothers and fathers after a split in their relationship are denied access to their kids. Sometimes out of hate for an ex or just out of spite for a bad end to marriage.

As I was telling him of the statistics of kids without the benefit of both parents in their life….

He sat staring at me as I spoke. I continued, wondering if I was going on too long and maybe I was boring him and I noticed tears come to his eyes.

When he finally spoke he told me he had a girlfriend that was pregnant when he was sent to Iraq. She never returned his calls and letters after he was sent overseas. Upon returning from the war he told me he had gone over to her parent’s house where she was living with his son. No one would come to the door. On another trip to try and meet his son her father came outside and told him they didn’t want him coming around anymore and everyone was fine.

The final attempt was a couple of months later when they called the police on him. He wasn’t arrested but told not to come back again or he would be charged with trespassing.

Being young and not knowing what to do he left and never returned. Over the next three years he had married, had a daughter and was building the home where I met him. He still has a deep longing to know his son and wonders what his boy has been told about his father, if told anything at all.

My wife and I spent today passing out information on Parental Alienation in Jackson, Mississippi with some friends Bill and Arlette. I am still amazed how many people we find that are in similar situations with their kids or grandkids.

Hulk Hogan’s Daughter has sounded off in defense of her Dad.

In an Entertainment Tonight exclusive in response to the fallout stemming from controversial comments made in a recent magazine interview by Hulk Hogan, his daughter Brooke is defending her famous father.

“I cannot believe how blown out of proportion one small part of a seven-page article has become,” Brooke says. “It’s a classic case of a quote being taken out of context. I look up to my father in every way. He has been through so much and has taken the high road through it all. The idea that he would condone the O.J. situation is just outrageous.” Brooke Hogan

In the Rolling Stone interview that triggered the controversy, Hulk addressed his frustrations regarding his divorce with estranged wife Linda Hogan, saying,

“I could’ve turned everything into a crime scene, like O.J., cutting everybody’s throat. You see a 19-year-old boy driving your Escalade, sleeping in your bed, with your wife. I mean, I totally understand O.J.”

On Wednesday, a rep for Hogan made a follow-up statement to ET regarding the article: “Hulk in no way condones the O.J. situation. As part of a larger conversation, he referred to it to exemplify his frustration with his own situation.”

I have been watching all the outrage from several commentators over this statement this week and I think they are missing the point by a mile. Although it was a stupid statement on the Hulk’s part where’s the outrage that should be expressed at his wife Linda Hogan.

Linda filed for divorce from Hogan, immediately demanded half of everything they owned, the house and half of everything he would make for the rest of his life. She kicked him out of the house, moved her 19 year old boyfriend in and gave him one of Hulk’s cars.

Late last year Brook had recanted some statements that had been intered into evidence in her parents divorce trial. She stated that her mother had convinced her to lie.

This is an all too common event in mens lives and after months of court appearances with Linda unwilling to back down from any of her demands the Hulk is quite frustrated as one might expect. How about someone get outraged at the state of the Nations Family Court System instead of an off handed remark from a frustrated husband and father.

At least he has been able to hold on to his relationship with his daughter after the parental alienation battle his wife waged, some Dads are not so lucky.

Mike Huckabee’s show is scheduled to air on the Fox News network Saturday night at 8:00 and 11:00, and again at 2:00 a.m. Sunday, April 12 with Michael Farris, a constitutional lawyer and the president of ParentalRights.org, to speak on the issue of parental rights, and on the proposed Parental Rights Amendment introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives March 31.

Here’s the text of the amendment….

Eighty years ago the Supreme Court declared that “the child is not the mere creature of the State; those who nurture him and direct his destiny have the right, coupled with the high duty, to recognize and prepare him for additional obligations.” Pierce v. Society of Sisters, 268 U.S. 510 (1925).

Thirty years ago the Court continued this line of reasoning with the pronouncement that the “primary role of the parents in the upbringing of their children is now established beyond debate as an enduring American tradition.” Wisconsin v. Yoder, 406 U.S. 205 (1972).

Yet in 2000, when the State of Washington gave any person the ability to override a good parent’s decision about visitation by simply claiming that it would be “best” for children to allow the third-party to have visitation rights, in the Supreme Court.

On March 27, 2009 a Father was sent to jail for Contempt of Court, his crime? Alleged non-payment of $853 in uninsured medical bills. Even after he produced documents proving that the double payments were ordered in error, the judge held him in contempt and put him in jail.

The second excuse to put him in jail? If he could afford a car loan he could afford to pay the medical bills. He had received an unconventional car loan from his bank. The judge simply did not believe him, nor give him time to produce proof. So how could he get a loan? He must be hiding something? Judges must make these judgment calls all of the time, but this type of Swift Justice is the same Justice that put kids in jail for cash in Pennsylvania. He now faces 90 days to 2 years in jail for Child Support and Spousal Support.

What is the most disturbing about this is Mom’s refusal of visitation. This has been denied over 400 visits with his three daughters. This has been done in direct violation of a court order. Moms consequences? Custody and control of the children. No contempt of Court Orders. Apparently $853 in medical bills is vastly more important than a good Father’s relationship with his children.

This is not unique to Maine, this is happening all over the country. Our own Congress has put in writing the importance of Fathers and Families. The following are some of the congressional findings from Senate Bill S1626, co-sponsored by then Senator Obama:

Congress makes the following findings:

(1) The most important factor in a child’s up bringing is whether the child is brought up in a loving, healthy, supportive environment.
(2) Children who grow up with two parents are, on average, more likely than their peers in single parent homes to finish high school and be economically self-sufficient.
(3) Father-child interaction, like mother-child interaction, has been shown to promote the positive physical, social, emotional, and mental development of children.
(4) Children typically live without both parents when their parents are
divorced or did not marry. More than 1⁄3 of all first marriages end in divorce, and 60 percent of divorcing couples have children. More than 1⁄3 of all births are to unmarried women.
(5) More than 1 in 4 families with children have only 1 parent present, and more than 1 in 3 children live absent their biological father.
(6) Recent studies demonstrate that most unwed fathers in urban areas are highly involved with the mother of their child before and after the child’s birth, with 80 percent involved during the mother’s pregnancy, and 50 percent living with the child’s mother at the time of the child’s birth. However, the relationship between the parents often does not last, and many fathers do not maintain contact with their children as the children grow up.
(7) An estimated 40 percent of the children who live in households without their father have not seen their fathers in at least 1 year.
(8) The inability of parents to sustain a healthy relationship with their child’s other parent and remain involved in their child’s life can have severe negative consequences for the parents, the child, their community, and taxpayers.
(9) Single-parent families are 5 times as likely to be poor as married-couple families.
(10) Children raised in single-parent families are more likely than children raised in 2-parent families to do poorly in school, have emotional and behavioral problems, become teenage parents, commit crimes, smoke cigarettes, abuse drugs and alcohol,
and have poverty-level incomes as adults.
We need to start driving these findings into our court systems, before more children are damaged.

An estimated 90% of inmates in prison right now were raised without the benefit of both parents in their lives. I’d really like to see some action on this from the President. It would be a shame to see it was just another issue used to win an election and immediately forgotten. Here’s whats at stake.

With millions being laid off from their jobs this problem will escalate. Contrary to the media stereotype, most of the “deadbeat” Dads are just fathers who have usually been broken by the court system and living in poverty trying to salvage a relationship with their kids.
