We have another white-out snowstorm engulf the East, the third major snowstorm to hammer the region this month.

In December the Metrodome roof collapsed under the weight of tons of snow, and there was 10 feet of snowman supplies from one snowstorm in the Sierra.

At what point does the concept of “global warming” become the most ridiculous scam in history? I would say… now.

Al Gore hasn’t been spotted all winter, but I bet he will be back next summer peddling his Chicken Little tactics and, of course, trying to get congress to pass him a trillion dollor cap-n-trade bill.

The nonprofit Center for Consumer Freedom (CCF) released new lab results showing that a number of major retailers’ reusable shopping bags contained excessive levels of lead. Of the 44 organizations whose bags were tested, 16 are selling or distributing reusable bags containing lead in amounts greater than 100 ppm (parts per million), which is where many states set the limit for heavy metals in packaging.

National chains such as CVS, Safeway, Bloom, and Walgreens were among those with high levels of lead found in their reusable bags. CVS and Safeway led the pack with 697 and 672 ppm respectively; both were nearly seven times the 100 ppm limit. To date, CVS is the only store that tested above 100 ppm to have recalled their bags. Previously lululemon athletica, Sears-Canada, and Wegmans have all recalled bags due to high levels of lead.

“Across the country legislators are proposing bills to ban or tax paper and plastic bags, but the unintended (or intended) consequence of such legislation is that people are using reusable bags, which independent testing shows can often contain excessive levels of lead” said CCF Senior Research Analyst J. Justin Wilson. “As an advocate for consumer choice I believe consumers should have the option of using lead-free plastic and paper bags when they’re bringing home their groceries.”

So after running lead paint commercials for 30 years to protect the kids now they are putting it im our food bags.

Didn’t several leading ecologists openly admit that they wanted to lower the population of humans on earth by 90%? I guess killing 100 billion in Africa by banning DDT (harmless, cheap pesticide that kills misquitos) wasn’t enough blood on their hands.

Things like this are the main reason I named my site “OneAngryMan”. Uneducated activists team with greedy politicians and pass laws to ban usefull products that save millions of lives than turn around and endorse other products, sell a billion of them, and then we finally find out they are dangerous.

As was reported earlier, an AP interview with an expert affiliated with the state’s Livestock and Poultry Commission suggested that the birds may have died as a result of “lightning or high- altitude hail.” Another possibility for the bird die-off? New Year’s Eve fireworks may have startled the birds so severely, that they died from stress. But neither of these reasons would account for the massive fish die-off.”

Thousands of dead birds have also fallen from the sky over Western Australia, Austin Texas, and Louisanna. What’s going on?

In 1944 Smokey the Bear appeared in a series of ads that continues today. his first ad was apparently a poster where he proclaimed, “Care will stop 9 out of 10 forest fires.” Is the 9 out of 10 figure verifiable? Many forest fires are from natural causes, consider lightning from thunderstorms?

The series has produced dozens of commercials over the decades, many great ones. This one is not.

Is it just me or does this ad encourage kids to play with matches? The ad asks the question, “What can you create with ten sticks,” then proceeds to arrange ten matches into several neat shapes, buildings, and animals. Matches can be great fun for kids. It finishes by showing a single match and asks, “What could you destroy with just one.”

Did anyone with the PSA take an objective look at this ad before it was viewed millions of times over the last 5 years?

I guess my point is that they spent 60 years trying to convince kids not to play with matches. This ad seems to nullify all their work.

So, Al Gore starts 30 companies to trade in carbon credits, becomes a climate change ambassador and lobbies congress for passage of the largest tax in history. All of which will be siphoned out of your wallet and promptly placed in his.

Of course there is no disingenuousness here. He’s donating all the money to a non-profit……his own non-profit.

Tar balls and a patch of emulsified oil was spotted at the St. Andrews beach and the Lake Mars pier in Gulf Park Estates Ocean Springs, Mississippi on Sunday June 26, 2010.

If a hurricane comes in the gulf this year, the entire coastline for 2 or 3 miles in will be covered with crude oil. It will kill all plant life and animals in its path.

We will have to evacuate and we will not be allowed back untill its cleaned up. No one knows how long that will be.

23 countries have offered help. They wanted to surround the leak with their huge skimming ships and remove the oil as it came to the surface. This has been done several times before to keep oil off the coast of their countries.

Barack Obama said no thanks, there are too many boats out there already. BP is responsible for the break in the line. Barack Obama is responsible for not accepting the help of experts from other countries with the proper equipment. He just let it happen. Why?

The seven-month-old baby girl is recovering in hospital after she was shot by her parents.

According to a suicide note left by her parents they feared the effects of global warming and decided the best option was to kill their kids and themselves.

The Cold wave has hit Mississippi Gulf Coast, a normally warmer enviornment even in January.

Its snowing in Florida. Tampa Bay area residents have been calling with reports of sleet in Pasco, Hernando and Citrus Counties.

There’s even an accumulation of ice and sleet on the tops of cars.

A resident in Inverness, Florida says the sleet is coming down pretty good. He says it sounds like sand hitting an aluminum roof.

Drivers are being urged to use caution on the roads.

Its making me wonder if temps can change from 100 degrees in the summer to 17 in the winter with swings from day to day of over 30 degrees do we really have to worry about a 1/2 degree change in 100 years these global warming folks are in a tizzy about?

Environmentalists vs. Big TP

The war between the environmentalists and the toilet paper manufacturers (I’ll call them “Big TP”) is heating up. The tree lovers seek to wipe out the soft varieties. The tissue-issue is that Big TP cuts down trees to make the soft, fluffy bottom wipe.

The Environmental groups say it is a unnecessary American excess that has got to be stopped. These groups accuse Big TP of using its Big A (advertising budget) to influence us to want softer toilet paper than we deserve. Big TP says they only make it super soft to fulfill their customers existing desires.

Plush toilet paper is normally made by chopping down and grinding up trees.

Now they are not going as far as to ask us to revert to the ancient method the Romans used which consisted of a branch shaped like a hockey stick and a sponge or even the old time favorite mussel shell. They want Big TP to make exclusively recycled toilet paper.

Problem is… recycled toilet paper is a little rough on the bottom. You might as well just use the newspaper its made from.

Big TP has made some concessions and are working on more user friendly recycled paper but it has not caught on too well with the folks as of yet. In Europe the government forces the rough stuff on their subjects. Would our government here in America try that? A year ago I’d say not a chance but lately…. who knows.

Toilet paper is far from being the biggest threat to the world’s forests. Add in the facial tissue and it accounts for 5 percent of the U.S. forest-products industry. I’m going to estimate that Congressional Bailout and Healthcare Bills make up at least 2% but I have no data to back that assumption up.

The perpetual burning of the forests in California as well as forest fires around the globe have got to be a fairly large percentage as well, but the environ”mental”ists don’t seem too upset over those trees being wasted, but I’m getting sidetracked.

OK, to sum it all up, the environmentally-friendly method of cleaning the behind, short of the corn cob, is to buy the toilet paper made out of out of recycled newspapers. Wait a minute, the newspapers are made from cutting down and grinding up trees too. Hmmm, I think I have the answer. How about this. Let’s keep the ever so soft Charmin for the bum and make the newspapers out of recycled toilet paper.
