Solyndra Solar Panels is Bankrupt

Barack Obama’s pet project, which he put $535 million dollars of your stimulus money in to, has took the money and ran. They filed for bankruptcy in federal court and fired 1100 employees.

Solyndra Solar Panels, the recipient of taxpayer funded $535 million federal loan, files bankruptcy and fires all of it's 1100 employees.

Obama called Solyndra a company of the future and counted these jobs in his newly invented category of “jobs saved.” Nice save Mr. President. The “jobs saved” category was invented by the Obama administration last year because the jobs created category numbers looked bleak.

Obama was right about one thing in all this. Solar and wind energy is “the future.” It is the future because it’s technology has not advanced to the point of making it financialy sound to invest in. I believe it is a future source of energy but for now it cost multiple times more than it saves. Right now it is no more than a novelty item.
