Now, I gotta admit if I was a gay man I might be a little excited. I’m not.
Imagine this…. You’re in line at WalMart behind me; a forty-something, white, sunbaked, unshaven, red-blooded American construction worker with maybe even a little dried blood running down the back of my forearm because I haven’t realized I had injured myself at work today.
I’m trying to get this Adam Lambert CD my grandaughter wants but I’m uncomfortable and trying to hide it under the charcoal and the chainsaw blade I am purchasing.
The cashier tries to ring it up but as always, like when women are buying something extremely personal, the CD is held up in the air as the cashier announces over the intercom,
“I need a price check on isle 17 on this flaming Adam Lambert CD.”
Thats not gonna happen. I’m not buying it. Adam misses yet another sale and I buy a different artists CD. This artist may be homosexual as well but doesn’t have such a need to announce it to all of creation that his cover resembles a flaming homosexual flag.

if you are buying a cd with a woman on the front, are you going to be afraid that people think you are a cross dresser? Probably be just fine with you to buy a album cover that depicts a bunch of blood and gore…cause violence and death are cool? Why are Americans so afraid? We are not in the middle ages..or are we? Probably should go back to drowning cats too…they’re the devils work! Being gay is not catching. The album cover is supposed to be fun and campy. Hope you can loosen up, come into the 21st century and get a sense of humor.

I can see a little humor here, but it seems it comes at Adam’s expense.
Also, I predict you will get alot of hits today, one mention of Adam’s name and all hell breaks loose.
You might want to fix your typos before you’re called on them “extremely, convenient” and in your first sentence second paragraph “You’re”.

I’ll bet that female check-out clerk will have already bought Adam’s CD herself and will compliment you on your taste in music. Try to be a Real Man, confident and secure in your masculinity. You sound like a wimp, so afraid of what others might think of you.
And by the way, these days Real Men buy “feminine products” for their wife, girlfriend, or sister without getting all embarrassed like a 13-yr-old. Man up, buddy!

Guess the humor was lost on us Adam lovers…you could have saved yourself if you hadn’t used the word “flaming” quite so much, as in “flaming homosexual flag”. We’re pretty sensitive about things like that when it comes to our Adam. As a matter of fact we tend to become downright viscious. You Adam lovers are a trip, try to lighten up a bit and acccept people for what they are. There is good and bad in everyone, its the mixture you gotta get right.
There is nothing in this post putting down Adam Lambert. I like him, he should have won. I said that from the first auditions.
This post is about the cover which in my opinion will hurt his sales. This was written tonge-in-cheek but it does make a valid point.
I’m wondering why the record company decided that Adam had to be pushed as a homosexual first. He has the talent and that is why the album will be a success.
To the comment about plenty of homosexuals being in construction…. All my life, hundreds of jobs and thousands of construction workers and I have only remember one that was gay. It was the guy with the hardhat from the “Village people.”

Very funny, haha! But I’m guessing the granddaughter in this scenario might be more likely to want Taylor Swift’s cd, as my daughter did on her last birthday. Would that have been hidden under the charcoal? Just curious.
You people are incredible, and unfortunately, like many other people in today’s society. I, too, would be embarrassed to be holding that gay man’s CD. Most people want no association with homosexuality. Manliness? I buy feminine products for my wife without any problems, but to buy something related to the nasty deed, truly unpleasant. i would prefer that people not think that I’m a faggot like Adam, but more importantly, I don’t care to contribute financially to his sinful lifestyle nor have people believe that I think homosexuality is ok, because it’s not. Why should he loosen up and tolerate this crap?
