Whoopi on Roman Polanski-It Wasn’t Rape Rape

This is the video of Woopi Goldberg on the view trying to defend child rapist Roman Polanski. there has been a petition circulating in Hollywood among the Hiollywood elite that has garnered 158 signatures wanting child rapist roman Polanski released. I’m wondering why they haven’t supported the release of all child rapists.

Roman Polanski- a little background info.

Polanski began his career in Poland, after his Mother was killed by the Nazi’s. He became a celebrated Academy Award-winning director after his first feature-length film, Knife in the Water (1962), made in Poland, won a Academy Award nomination for Best Foreign Language Film, 1963. Polanski moved to Hollywood and released Rosemary’s Baby in 1968. A year later his pregnant wife, Sharon Tate, was murdered by the Manson Family after he had bought a house from another producer who had turned Charles Mansion down for a recording contract. The Manson family went there to get even with this producer not realizing he no longer lived there.

He produced Chinatown in 1974 with Jack Nicholson.

It was at Jack Nicholson’s home that he drugged and anally raped a 13 year old girl. He told the mother of the girl he wanted to make her a model and needed to have her photographed. In 1977, Polanski was arrested in Los Angeles and pleaded guilty to unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, was kept under psychiatric evaluation for 42 days and fled the country before sentencing. After 32 years he is now, since 26 September 2009, under arrest in Switzerland pending extradition proceedings.
