Artie Lange, the hilarious but sometimes incredibly crude sidekick on the Howard Stern Show was charged with DUI and with careless driving, according to the Asbury Park Press.
Police found Lange after responding to a minor traffic accident around 1:30 p.m.
The paper quoted police saying that Lange was cooperative and did not appear to be under the influence of any illicit drugs.
Lange was one of the original cast members of “MADtv” and has appeared in a couple of movies nobody has seen. Anyone ever hear of “Old School” and “Beer League?” OK, I have to admit I have seen “Old School”
He also has a recurring character on the show “Rescue Me.”
The state of New Jersey can sentence first-time offenders to as long as to 30 days in jail, require as much as 48 hours in community service, levy fines as high as $1,000 and can strip a person of his or her drivers license for as long as one year.
