This is the 17,000-ton container ship Maersk Alabama, when it was operating under the name Maersk Alva, which was been hijacked by Somalia pirates with 20 crew members aboard, Wednesday April 8, 2009, while sailing from Salalah in Oman to the Kenyan port of Mombassa via Djibouti
The Somali Pirates that attacked an American crew last night have gone for an unexpected swim this morning.
Democrat Moderates are not the only ones jumping ship these days, Somali Pirates are to, literally.
The 20 man crew after phoning in last night that they had been hijacked by pirates have regained control of their vessel. They are said to have one Pirate held on board and the rest are in the water.
The bureaucrats and politicians in some backdoor agreements prevent American Ships from being armed in the region. Pirates, knowing that these crews are unarmed see them as an easy target. Not this time.
The ship Maersk Alabama, was carrying US humanitarian aide to the Kenyan port of Mombassa.
Details are few right now but I will be posting updates here as they come in.

A lot of different news is coming in on the hijacked tanker story. The most credible is from FoxNews.
Seems the crew ran some of the Pirates off the ship and are free but some of the Pirates were able to kidnap the Captain and are holding him for ransom from a life boat they took from the cargo ship. The crew has offered them food and water but thet want loads of cash. If lives were not at stake this would be something like a scene from a Don Knotts movie.
This is the 80th hyjacking of a tanker ship in 2 years. They have reportedily made 80 million dollars with their crime spree and purchased their own large ship. They sail out, lay in wait and attack these cargo ships using several smaller boats.
I suggest that the 80th times a charm. Blow this Pirate ship out of the water. Sink it to the bottom of the sea where their 40 virgins will be waiting.

It seems like Ohama has another strike against the loud conservative “think-tank” AKA by giving the US Navy authority to strike if it felt the hostages were a threat to the tanker captain’s life. The US Navy frigate’s captain, noting that they were point AK 47’s at the captains head, order the Navy Seals and snipers to take out the pirates. Another shining star for Obama and the democratic party. Love that man!!
