Janet Napolitano orders – no Masks for Border Patrol Agents
The Mexican government has pretty much shut down their country for 7 days in an attempt to stop the spread of the Swine Flu. Schools, business and non-essential services have stopped and the citizens of Mexico have been told to stay home.

Yesterday Joe Biden warned his family to avoid exposure to Swine Flu contamination by not traveling on planes and trains.
On the other hand Janet Napolitano has prohibited Border Patrol agents from wearing protective masks that can protect them from getting contaminated with the virus, because the masks will “scare those coming across the border.”
If the border security agents worked for a private company instead of the Department of Homeland Security and their employer refused to let them protect themselves from this growing epidemic in Mexico our government would be outraged.
I can see the congressional hearings now with Barney Frank hair on end screaming with bits of spit flying out of his mouth and Nancy “Air” Pelo$i red faced with disgust at these evil corporations that care nothing about the safety of the American people.
Doesn’t our government seem to come down on the wrong side of every situation lately?
There has been lots of epidemic scares in the US lately, SARS, Bird Flu, Mad Cow Disease and now the Swine Flu. Will this one spread across America and kill many citizens or fizzle out like the past ones? Time will tell.
