They have a 12-year-old son, Thomas. She is believed to live in a house in Sherman Oaks, California, which is linked to Mel's production company.
Gibson's publicist told People magazine: 'Mel has been single for almost three years and it's nice to see him getting out and enjoying himself. Mel seemed very comfortable,' said an onlooker at the X-Men Origins: Wolverine premiere.
